My name is Katrina and my proposal from my fiancee was a little ........ hmmmm.....a little bit of a comedy of errors......to say the least. In order for this to make sense to anyone, I have to give a little back ground on myself and my fiancee Justin.
Justin and I have been dating for 17 years. We are the best of friends and seem to have tendancy towards joking around, practical joking, it is not uncommon for Justin to jump out of the closet and scare me to death, or hide things on me, and of course his favorite thing, throwing cold water on me while Im in the shower. So when he took me horseback riding one warm late spring day, I knew something was up. We had a lovely ride along the trail, our horses were beautiful and calm, the weather was warm and breezy, the sun was shining, too perfect really. As we stopped by the banks of bubbling stream and Justin got down on one knee, I knew this was the moment I had waited 17 years for. "I love you Katrina. You are the best friend I've ever had, will you marry me? He opened up this beautiful purple box to reveal......nothing. Nothing but an empty box. Now, I wish I had been able to see the look of horror on my own face, was this a joke, a cruel joke, as I pummeled him in mind, his face registered fear, I asked "is this a joke?" He was very confused, until he turned the box around and saw that it was empty, he searched his pockets, the ring must have fallen out while we were riding, but finally he located it and I said "Yes"
