My fiancé absolutely loves hockey with a passion. We enjoy watching games together all the time, on television and home town games. My fiancé always wanted to go see a live NHL game, he did not care what team he saw (even though he is a huge leafs fan), he just wanted to be at a live game. One year I decided to plan a weekend gateway for the two of us to Ottawa and got us tickets to go see the Senators vs. the Bruins. He absolutely loved every minute of the game. (The only thing that was missing was the Maple Leafs.) We had such an amazing time together in Ottawa, that we decided to make it our annual gateway. The year after that we went to go see the Senators vs. the Maple Leafs, in February. I noticed that he seemed a little anxious, but I just figured it was because he was so excited to finally see the Maple Leafs live. (Even though, a few months earlier, just before Christmas, he was asking me what kind of ring I would like if he were to propose to me. I showed him pictures of the rings that I liked, not knowing that he had already purchased the ring and hide it at his parents house.) This never crossed my mind when we were at the game and he seemed anxious. The next thing I know the first period was over (and we usually go walk around during intermission, but he suggested we stay at our seats this time). I was sitting in my seat listening to the announcer make announcements about birthdays, retirements, anniversaries, and watching the big screen showing all the announcements. Next thing I know, I hear the announcer saying my name. So here I am, thinking to myself, 'there must be someone here with the same name as me, I'm not parked in the wrong spot am I?' Trying to figure out why on earth would the announcer say, let alone, know my name. Then the next thing I hear is, "Jason Costello asks, 'you will marry me?' " I looked at him and he was down on his knee, I was so shocked, the first thing out of my mouth was "#@*& off!" I could not believe what had just happened, at first I thought he was joking, but he was not, and of course I said YES!!!!!!!!!
