A senior executive with a large national insurance carrier was laid off due to a corporate reorganization. Unfortunately, this executive had not searched for a job in nearly 20 years, so he was very lost in the contemporary job search market. In addition, his previous job searches were for lower-level positions, so he had no experience with an executive job search. When he reached out and decided to partner with Endeavor, he had just five months of severance left and needed to secure his next executive role.

Our client's personal branding materials, like his resume, LinkedIn profile, and profile picture, were outdated. He did have several hundred LinkedIn connections, but most were from his previous company,  so our client needed to grow his professional network within the insurance industry.

Another challenge facing our client was that he had a difficult time discussing his previous employment. He felt he had to hide that he was laid off, even though he was not terminated for cause and had been a good executive overall.


Family obligations was an additional challenge to take into account, as his spouse and daughter, who was actively involved in high school activities, were not wanting to relocate to another city or state.
