Problems:
Block painted with basic exterior paint and unsealed Split Face Block wall absorbs rain from the top and sides. Un-flashed or poorly flashed Capstones, allow moisture intrusion into the wall.

Metal coping holds in water absorbed through unsealed Split Face Block. Some of the water migrates to the exterior, the rest remains trapped in the wall.
Problems:
Clay Copings too big for the walls they are installed on or maintenance consisting of slopping tar or caulk on cracks and joints to put off real maintenance another season.

Install WickRight Vented Drip Edge, Vented Receiver Clip and Membrane to protect parapet from additional moisture intrusion AND allow moisture vapor to exit the parapet and let the wall dry out.
