Adult Clinical Outpatient services offers mental health therapeutic services and onsite day programs.
ACOS offers a wide array of Outpatient Mental Health Services. Our dedicated and professional staff include Licensed Therapists, Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner, Adult Board Certified Psychiatrists, Gerontologist, Peer Support Specialist as well as an array of Nursing supports. ACOS staff is committed to working with people throughout their lifespan in times of severe challenges as well as through the stressors of daily living. Additionally, staff remain sensitive to all sexual orientations, gender identities and cultural values.

To schedule an appointment, please contact an ACOS Clinical Assistant 757-788-0227 or 757 -788-0266. You will be asked about services which you are seeking and depending on your answer (children’s services, substance abuse, adult mental health services, etc.) you will be directed to the correct department. You may also be asked some additional routine questions to begin the scheduling process.
Payment:
ACOS is a participating provider with most major insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare and Tricare.
You will be scheduled to meet with a financial technician. Certain qualifying individuals may benefit from a sliding fee scale to reduce their cost of services.

Bright Beginnings
The Bright Beginnings program is a day treatment program developed as an alternative to inpatient treatment for adults with serious and persistent mental health conditions. The program provides comprehensive, coordinated, multi-disciplinary, intensive, time-limited treatment in a highly structured setting.
