from Young
delivered to Canberra
in mid-December
We collect boxes of great cherries from Young and
deliver them to Canberra on the day after they are picked.
Normally they are Rons or Lapins cherries:
Rons cherries are a large heart‐shaped variety with black,
slightly thick skin and juicy deep red flesh. They are delicious
either eaten fresh or cooked.
Lapins cherries are a large heart‐shaped variety, with dark
red skin and firm, golden‐red flesh.
The actual cherry verities delivered will depend on which varieties have ripened in early December and that depends on the weather.
We offer:
2 kg box of best cherries @ $TBA
5 kg box of best cherries @ $TBA
The way it works
We take orders (via the website) from mid-September until the closing date for:
- 2 kg box of best cherries
- 5 kg box of best cherries
Orders close a week before collection (in mid-December)
We advise the farmer of our order
The best ripe cherries are picked and boxed
The day after picking and boxing:
- We collect the cherries and bring them to Canberra in the morning
- You collection your cherries that afternoon - from locations advised when ordering
2025 orders closed
2026 orders
- Orders open in September
- Closing date for orders - second Wednesday in December
- Collection the following Saturday (in the afternoon)
- Purchasers select a pick-up locations - North or South of the Lake
