Biography
Alan Zonno, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon who is board certified, with fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma and Foot & Ankle Reconstruction. Dr. Zonno originally planned to become a neurosurgeon, but on the first day of his orthopaedic rotation in medical school he assisted with a fracture reduction and was hooked on orthopaedics from that point forward. He is passionate about making people smile and helping them with their foot and ankle injuries.

Dr. Zonno received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Michigan School of Pharmacy. After obtaining his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, he completed residency training in Orthopaedics at Brown University in Rhode Island. He obtained his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship from Brown University and his fellowship in Foot & Ankle reconstruction from The Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction, Baltimore, MD.

While in residency, he was Resident of the Year at Rhode Island Hospital and was awarded other honors for excellence in patient care.

Dr. Zonno has authored numerous scientific research articles and has presented his research at both regional and national academic conferences.

He is an active member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS).

In his spare time, Dr. Zonno enjoys running, biking, reading books and as a rule of thumb,  anything that keeps him on his feet!

Dr. Zonno has authored numerous scientific research articles and has presented his research at both regional and national academic conferences.

He is an active member of AAOS-American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, MSOA – Missouri State Orthopaedic Association, Missouri State Medical Association and Southern Orthopaedic Association.
