Biography
Andrew Palmisano, M.D. is a fellowship trained board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Palmisano decided to become an orthopaedic surgeon at a young age. He has always enjoyed working with his hands to fix any issues around him. Orthopaedic Surgery was an easy choice as it allowed him to combine his knowledge and skilled hands to improve the lives of his patients. His desire to "fix" anything he can has always been his motivation to provide the best care possible. He takes great pride in his work and the service that he provides for each patient. The most rewarding part of his work is helping a patient regain function and improve their quality of life while decreasing their joint pain.
Dr. Palmisano is a fellowship trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon who received his medical doctorate, graduating with honors, from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, OH. He completed his residency in 2016 in orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He moved on to his fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, finishing in July of 2017. During his training, Dr. Palmisano mastered the most current operative and non-operative techniques in the field of joint replacement.
Dr. Palmisano has published and participated in multiple research articles and studies throughout his career and has presented his research on both regional and national platforms.
He is an active member of AAOS-American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and AAHKS-American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
In his free time, Dr. Palmisano enjoys spending time with his family, running, spending time outdoors and anything related to cars.
