Biography
Jarron Tilghman, M.D. is an Interventional Physiatrist who is double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Pain Medcine. Dr. Tilghman is certified in both Performing Arts Medicine and Independent Medical Examination. He is fellowship trained in interventional pain medicine and specializes in the non-operative care of spine conditions, performing arts injuries and general musculoskeletal disorders.

Dr. Tilghman decided to become a physiatrist during his fourth years of medical school when he saw the value of helping improve a patient’s overall functional ability and quality of life. He is passionate about interventional pain management because it allows him the opportunity to help a wide array of patients manage their pain in a safe and comprehensive fashion. Dr. Tilghman enjoys working together with his great staff to deliver high quality care to his patients.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of Missouri. After obtaining his medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, he completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as PM&R or Physiatry, at University of Missouri School of Medicine.

He subsequently pursued fellowships in Interventional Pain at Arizona Pain Specialists. He was Chief Fellow in 2014. During fellowship, he gained further expertise in utilizing fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures to address a wide spectrum of spinal conditions, sports injuries and performing arts injuries. He also developed an interest in regenerative treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.

Dr. Tilghman has served as a volunteer physician at Starlight Theatre, the Kansas City Ballet and at area football games in the Fall of each year.

Dr. Tilghman has authored numerous scientific research articles in the field of musculoskeletal and rehabilitation medicine and has presented his research at both regional and national academic conferences.

He has active membership within the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Physical Medicine and the Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), American Academy of Pain Medicine and Performing Arts Medicine Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Tilghman enjoys being a barber, songwriting, music production, coaching youth basketball, cooking and spending time with his family.
