I had the joy of seeing this family for our.... fourth? fifth? session together the other night. Seeing these boys grow has been such a gift and I absolutely adore this family. One of the things I love most is how mom + dad embrace the beautiful chaos of having younger kiddos and find beauty in these perfectly imperfect moments as a family. Armed with a little Baby Shark on my bluetooth speaker and a few fun games, we got all the perfect little smiles we needed.

I had a bride last week ask me if it would be weird if she didn't want to hire a makeup artist for her wedding. And I just wanted to hug her and tell her this: Your day can look like whatever the heck you want it to look like. Don't buy into the trends and feel like your day needs to be this literally perfect day that causes you so much stress (and costs you so much more than you'd want to spend). Do what fits your vision, your happiness, and your budget. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the things I've mentioned here and I 100% support any bride who chooses to do them. I just wish more couples would do what they really truly wanted to do for one of the most important days of their life. (Rather than what their mom or trendy people the internet said they should do. 😉)

Do whatever the hell YOU want with your day. It's YOUR DAY.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you want to have an amazing church wedding like your parents had? Do it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you want to go skydiving or share your vows oceanside? Do it!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want to say your vows in your grandparents' backyard with your closest family and friends? I think you're getting the hint... Just do it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Traditions are important, but so is having the wedding day that you dream about having. So do what makes you both happy. I really enjoy this slow time of the season. The time when I open up to create for me and for no one else. It’s the time when I can dream for what’s to come in the coming months. As always, I’m dreaming big. I don’t know how not to. So here I am, dreaming. Dreaming of clients who trust my vision and let me take over so they can just be who they are, all they have to do is show up and love on each other. I’m dreaming on how I can balance being a better mama and a better business woman. What services I can create to better serve my clients. How to elevate the experience with me. My goal is to always stand out in my community. My goal is to always be real and be me. I’m not one to set resolutions. But I do always look forward to the new year and the feeling of a fresh start.
