In February, the MNCM Board of Directors convened for a strategic planning session to chart the course for the organization over the next five years. This pivotal gathering was grounded in insights from the community and a shared commitment to advancing MNCM’s mission in a way that maximizes collaboration, transparency, and impact.

The meeting included a series of learning discussions featuring representatives from Civitas Networks for Health, the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and the Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network. These sessions provided valuable perspectives on regional and national trends in health data collaboration and measurement, helping us to situate MNCM’s strategy within the broader landscape.

We were pleased to have active participation from representatives of the Department of Health, the Department of Human Services, Minnesota Management and Budget, the Minnesota EHR Consortium, Stratis Health, and Koble. Their contributions ensured that the perspectives of key collaborative partners were reflected in the strategic plan, reinforcing the importance of shared goals and aligned efforts in improving health and health care quality, equity, and value across Minnesota.

The approach to this planning effort underscores the principle that the community is truly at the helm. MNCM exists to serve as a trusted convener and data steward, and our direction is guided by the needs and priorities of those we serve. By fostering collaboration and leveraging high-impact data, we will continue to support efforts that drive measurable improvements in health, health outcomes, and system performance.

As we refine our strategic plan and set a course for the future, we remain deeply committed to engaging with our partners and the broader community. Together, we will ensure that MNCM continues to deliver value in meaningful and innovative ways. We look forward to sharing more in the months ahead and continuing to work in partnership to advance improvements in health and health care in Minnesota.
