The Sterling Rose Sanctuary an established 501c-3, will be a non-denominational, multi-functional residence in Southwest FL that will serve as a retreat center, lodging and healing space for those mourning the loss of a child, sibling or grandchild. Those attending will be able to reside for up to 5 days on site, where they will receive grief counseling, as well as tools and strategies to assist them through their grieving process. The Sterling Rose Sanctuary is birthed out of Scott and Marcia Earharts loss of their oldest son Sterling, who moved home to heaven on February 13, 2014. Through the pain, suffering, and grief, the Earharts and their children have truly experienced the Trinity meeting them in their time of great loss.
The Lord in His graciousness has reminded them that for all Christians there is a resurrection of life out of death. Through the death of their son Sterling, God has planted the seeds of life. By establishing the Sanctuary, Scott, Marcia and their team are able to bring hope and healing to others who are struggling through similar loss.
As believers, the Earharts want to be available to undergird the body of Christ by bringing a heavenly perspective to earth, helping people to experience hope in their healing. Through the grieving process, it is life-giving to have the love, support, and encouragement of someone else who has traveled this broken road.
The Sterling Rose Sanctuary will be a non-denominational nonprofit loving home surrounded by God’s creation where individuals, couples or families will reside for three to five days. The Sanctuary will provide a serene space for reflecting, processing, and rest.
Marcia and Scott are certified Grief and Trauma Coaches as well as Mediators. Marcia is a certified Life Coach as well. They desire to use their gifts, time and talents to assist those in need. They have served countless hours ministering to and mentoring members of their community through a variety of life challenges including marriage and families in crisis, young adults facing hardship, and youth. Using their life experience and professional training, the Earharts and their team will welcome you into a haven for your grief.
