Carol M. Swenson, CANP

Originally from Minnesota, Carol Swenson attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She received a Bachelors Degree in nursing and RN licensure in 1979. She worked as a camp nurse for one summer then moved to Arizona and worked on a surgical floor at Good Samaritan hospital for 1 1/2 years and Burn Unit and float at Maricopa Medical Center for 1 year. In 1983, following 5 years experience in other areas of nursing, Carol began her 23 years of experience in rheumatology. She graduated in 1988 with a masters in nursing and became nationally certified as a nurse practitioner. She has been an active sub-investigator in numerous clinical new drug trials. She is a member of the Allied Health Professional group of the American College of Rheumatology. Carol is married with two children. She is active in community service with National Charity League and Habitat for Humanity and spends her free time outdoors as much as possible.
