Infant Oral Exams
A Good Start
Following the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, our doctors suggest infants should come in for their first oral exam between the ages of 6-months to 1-year-old.
What happens at your baby's first dentist appointment
An evaluation of your baby's oral hygiene, eating and drinking habits, fluoride intake, and their risk for tooth decay.
Removal of any plaque deposits or stains on your child's teeth with special tools for your child's age and needs
We will demonstrate proper cleaning techniques to you and give suggestions on how to keep your baby's smile healthy
Evaluate your child's mouth for any abnormal bumps or sores
Assess the current impact of thumb-sucking and pacifier use
Our doctors want to start your baby's oral health journey on the right track. As soon as your baby's teeth start coming in, it is a good idea to set up their first dentist appointment.
