End of Life Care

 for Your Pet

“Just this side of Heaven, there’s place called the Rainbow Bridge.”

  • When our beloved pets die, they journey to this idyllic spot. There are meadows and hills enough for all to frolic freely, and plenty of food, water and sunshine. Each and every animal is warm and comfortable.

  • Those pets who have been ill or aged are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong. Each is just as we remember in our dreams of days and times gone by. Our pets who are happy and content at Rainbow Bridge, except for one small thing. Every creature misses someone special, who they have left behind.

  • The animals all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops, and looks into the distance. His or her bright eyes are intent; an eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he or she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, legs going faster and faster.

  • You have been spotted, and you and your special friend come together in joyous reunion. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head; and you look once more into the eyes of your pet so long gone from your life; but never absent from your heart.

Having to make the decision to say goodbye is never easy, and because we understand how painful the process is, we’re here to make this difficult time as personalized and comfortable as possible. During your appointment, our veterinarians will assess your pet’s condition, and any concerns you may have, including your aftercare wishes.

"There comes a time where our obligations go from ensuring the quality of life for your pet, to ensuring the quality of their passing."

End-of-life Euthanasia

Although it’s hard, the method of euthanasia is a painless approach for your pet to cross over. Pet parents can be with their pet the entire time as the medication is administered intravenously.

Private or Communal Cremation

We provide resources for both private and communal cremation services.

Things Your Vet Will Palpate

Your pet’s pulse and lymph nodes are also examined around the head, neck, and hind legs. In addition, we’ll examine your pet’s abdomen to feel for a healthy bladder, kidneys, liver, intestines, and spleen.

One Tree at a time

Plant a tree in honor of your pet- a living tribute tree gift. Your trees will be planted on protected public lands to restore forests that has been damaged by wildfires, invasive insects, natural disasters and disease. Your commemorative card will be shipped to the mailing address provided below.

"He that plants a tree loves others beside himself" - Thomas Fuller

The trees planted for you are an act of optimism and kindness a labor of love, and a commitment to stewardship
