    Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery focuses on the effects of substance abuse on families, parenting, and the parent-child relationship.


    It is designed to be implemented in a 17-week program, with each session being 90 minutes.

    This workshop is for parents with children ages birth - 5 years of age. It is a great class for a new parent or a parent who would like additional information on waht to expect from a child in this age group. Parents will learn how the child's brain grows along with ways to promote healthy brain development. The course will also offer ideas for parents regarding discplining a young child, how to prevent tantrums, establishing routines which make life easier for the whole family, and more.

    During this class we will explore the age that babies begin crying more and more as well as discuss soothing techniques.  We will review the Period of P.U.R.P.L.E Crying model.  Finally, we will review the most updated safe sleep recommendations and go over how to set up your babies sleeping enviroment.

    Abusive Head Trauma
