Paul Gauvreau Legacy Fund

On April 7, 2020, the world lost a dedicated public servant, Paul Gauvreau. Paul was a Community Concepts' board member, husband, father, brother, former Chief of the Criminal Division in the Maine Attorney General's office, Maine state legislator, and die-hard baseball fan. Because of Paul's passion and dedication to the community, Community Concepts has teamed up with the Gauvreau family to create the Paul Gauvreau Legacy Fund. The legacy fund provides the organization flexibility to quickly respond to the changing needs of the community by supporting the current programs as well as creating opportunities for new and expanded community-focused services.

Paul's favorite baseball player was Jackie Robinson who wore number 42 when he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Jackie Robinson once said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” It's a quote Paul shared with his daughter Johanna when he wrote her an email saying, "As I get older, I am beginning to understand that the true meaning of life is how we can help each other."

To honor Paul's love of baseball and #42, we're setting a goal of raising $42,000 for the Legacy Fund. Paul had a tremendous impact on our community and our state throughout his life and with the Paul Gauvreau Legacy Fund, we can continue Paul's commitment to our community. Please join us in celebrating Paul's life and passion of community service.
